The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.

Having vast experience working on environmental protection projects in the region and policy that comply with UNEP values, fea has been entrusted to assist UNEP in implementation of various projects:

The GEF is financial mechanism for 5 major international environmental conventions: the Minamata Convention on Mercury, the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (UNCBD), the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). GEF funds are available to developing countries and countries with economies in transition to meet the objectives of the international environmental conventions and agreements. GEF support is provided to government agencies, civil society organizations, private sector companies, research institutions to implement environmental projects and programs.

With GEF support fea has implemented following projects:

Public Awareness Raising Campaign about The Values and Positive Effects of Forest and Mountain Areas in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Civil Society in Development (CISU) is an independent association of 280+ small and medium-sized Danish Civil Society Organisations (CSOs). CISU supports Danish organisations’ national and global efforts for a just and sustainable world and is a platform for experience and knowledge sharing. They build capacity, promote mutual learning and innovative thinking, and strengthen popular participation in development cooperation.

Since fea is engaged in designing, implementing and supporting programs, projects and activities meant to advance the status of forests and environment and enhance sustainable development and natural resource management, local and rural community development, education, capacity building and networking, the NGO was chosen for the implementation of the project

Mobilizing Smallholder Forest Owners and Building a Foundation for Civil Society Strengthening and Organizing through Their Engagement in Local Forest Owners Association(s) in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The World Bank (WB) is a vital source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world. The bank is a unique partnership to reduce poverty and support development. The WB provide low-interest loans, zero to low-interest credits, and grants to developing countries. These support implementation of programs and projects in such areas as education, health, public administration, infrastructure, financial and private sector development, agriculture, and environmental and natural resource management. 

With WB support fea implemented the project 

Public Awareness Raising Campaign about The Values and Positive Effects of Forest and Mountain Areas in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Municipality Center is one of 4 municipalities of City of Sarajevo and it has been rated as the most developed municipality in Canton Sarajevo as being confirmed by various indicators of development – comparatively low unemployment rate, over 25 % of workforce of Canton, 20% of overall foreign trade in Canton, over 55% of tourism related income, etc. Continuous development of Municipality is focused on establishment and maintenance of environmental balance and commitment to modernization of its service and institutions. Some of the main goals stated in the Development plan of the Municipality Center are: development of human resources through continuous education, development of skill and knowledge potentials and increase in employment; environmental management, natural resources conservation, etc. 

With the support of Center Municipality fea implemented the project

fea Leadership Academy - Developing Interpersonal and Entrepreneurial Skills among Young People through Education and Lifelong Learning

Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism performs administrative, professional and other tasks within the competence of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina related to: protection of air, water and land; developing an environmental strategy and policy; air, water and soil quality standards; environmental monitoring and control of air, water and soil; developing strategies and policies for the development of tourism and hospitality; monitoring of tourist flows on domestic and foreign markets; directing the long-term development of tourism within the overall economic system and other tasks determined by law.
