Participation in the UN Global Compact offers a lot of practical benefits. Some of them are: adopting an established and globally recognized policy framework for development, implementation and disclosure of environmental, social and governance policies and practices; advancing sustainability solutions in partnership with a range of stakeholders; sharing best practices to advance best practical solutions etc.
Role of Global Compact Local Networks
The UN Global Compact offers numerous action platforms for participants to take their part in addressing critical issues and to advance the ten principals. One of them is participation in Global Compact Local Network. Local Networks exist in more than 100 countries and perform increasingly important role in rooting the UN Global Compact within different national and cultural context.
