The overall goal of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the management of the area of the Natural Monument "Skakavac" through activities to map the risk of illegal logging and the application of acoustic monitoring.Â
 The specific objectives are:Â
Preserve and improve the condition of the Natural Monument "Skakavac"Â
Intensify and strengthen the dialogue between the governmental and non-governmental sector through the development of joint action in nature protectionÂ
Develop an automated system for remote analysis of illegal logging using acoustic technologiesÂ
Efficient and effective monitoring of felling within the Natural Monument "Skakavac"Â
Develop a prototype of a hardware system based on small monitoring stations with multiple sensors and a remote central station for automatic signal processing and analysis.Â
Main activities of the project include:
Establishing cooperation and continuous communication with all stakeholders;Â
Making maps of risky areas of illegal logging in the area of the Natural Monument "Skakavac";Â
Creating a donor platform available to citizens for donating mobile devices concerning the goals and purpose of the project and their role in the project;Â
Design and development of acoustic monitoring system based on a prototype hardware system and test application for audio signal processing;Â
Stakeholder training - capacity building;Â
Promotional activities.Â
