Story behind
the „Plant Hope“ initiative
A human environmental footprint on the planet (a measure of how and how much we are using the Earth’s natural resources) is getting bigger from year to year, while planet’s total biocapacity (Earth’s ability to produce natural resources, provide land and soil, drinking water, or absorb waste and carbon emissions) remains the same. By comparison of these two indicators now we know that it takes a year and a half to generate the resources that the human population uses in only a year, and it is obvious that humans use resources irrationally and unsustainably!

In developing countries, or moderately developed countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, this problem is far more prominent.

We need trees now more than ever!
Why are we "PLANTing HOPE"?
We want to make the urban environment greener and more pleasant to live in, reduce pollution and urban heat islands.
Planting trees is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to positively impact the environment.
We want to give society, especially youngest generations, hope for a cleaner and more sustainable future.
We want to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable natural resources (especially forests) management issues.
We want to help aware citizens and companies to act and contribute to sustaining the future and combating climate changes.
With the #Plant Hope initiative, we want to enable citizens and socially responsible companies to participate in planting trees with the aim of creating a better future for all of us.
If you have no idea what to give/gift someone for a birthday or other occasion, fea in cooperation with public and local institutions offers you the possibility of planting tree(s) in their name on certain areas in the city of Sarajevo. The tree seedlings will be planted with the professional support of the competent institutions of Canton Sarajevo.
We are currently in the phase of specifying details of cooperation and implementation of the initiative with the competent institutions, and we will inform you when and where you will be able to plant a tree for your family, friends, colleagues etc.
