fea together with the Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton and the Forestry Directorate is working to acquaint teaching staff and participants with the principles and practice of forest pedagogy. Forest pedagogy is defined as a type of education and training about the forest, nature, and the values they provide.

 

Based on the emotional perception and the promotion of learning through experience - game, this kind of learning leads to the development of a positive attitude towards nature.

 

Application of forest pedagogy practices is very desirable for school-age children, as a younger generation who should strive to establish a strong ecological culture. The activities of this project are aimed at the successful integration of the principles of forestry pedagogy into the teaching process.

The overall objective of this Project is to strengthen the ecological culture of citizens in terms of strengthening forests and forest ecosystems, especially for school-age children.

The immediate objective is the introduction of the concept of forest pedagogy in primary education in the schools of Sarajevo Canton through innovative methods of learning in nature, while the expected impact of the Project on society and the local community is reflected in determining realistic modalities for introducing forest pedagogy principles into the teaching process.
